When the reader drops into the $50 to $100 range, it will change publishing. I love my books, but I move a lot, and to have them in an electronic format would be cool. I think that Kim is a great example of quality literature that is e-published.Sarah Blake Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05849468829272752689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36000549.post-51777209157417962692007-08-06T23:55:00.000-05:002007-08-06T23:55:00.000-05:00Thanks for your comments Kim. I would tend to agree with you that eBooks will become more popular over time.

I have a problem sitting down at my PC to read a book because I usually do my reading in the tub. Ouch, just think of what could happen. LOL!

Thanks again for the great insight in epublishing.

CherylCherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03470069911115912344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36000549.post-45350894830938969862007-08-06T23:22:00.000-05:002007-08-06T23:22:00.000-05:00Hi, Cheryl!Yes, unfortuately I still think there's...Hi, Cheryl!

Yes, unfortuately I still think there's a stigma attached to ebooks. People think that it's not really published and lump us with the self published crowd.

Though I really do think this is changing. Look at some traditonal New York publishers that are making ebooks or even some libraries getting their books on line. Once the Sony reader or another one comes down in price--(the Sony one costs $350) I think more people will use ebooks.

I have received positive feedback from some places. One PR teacher told me she thought it was exciting that I was thinking 'outside' the box. A couple other places have been very supportive of my epublished book. I think it's not if but when ebooks will become more popular. I can't help but think of how people didn't think the computer would catch on. Boy, were they wrong!Kim Baccelliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05304806976633973536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36000549.post-52709341055373762372007-08-06T19:58:00.000-05:002007-08-06T19:58:00.000-05:00Thanks for the great insight, Kim. Technology has made things interesting.

Do you still feel that there is a stigma attached to eBooks? When they first came out, it seems like people felt the reason an author would choose an ePublisher was because she couldn't get published the traditional way. But that certainly doesn't seem to be the case any longer.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this and if you've received any negative feedback as a result of choosing an electronic format for your novel. What kinds of positive feedback have you received about this format too?

Thanks.

Cheryl M.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03470069911115912344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36000549.post-63502169315983771572007-08-06T11:26:00.000-05:002007-08-06T11:26:00.000-05:00Hi!Thanks for dropping by.
